Photographs of Bahay Nakpil-Bautista taken by Ms. Bea Caisip.
Christian doctrine written in the traditional Filipino alphabet ca. 1593. Mother of the Philippines who truthfully loves her people, unfurl your flag, Mother of Peace. Accents on the ventilation cut-outs at the tops of the indoor partitions of Bahay Nakpil-Bautista. A VIEW OF THE BEDROOM FROM THE DINING HALL shows the furnishing done in the Viennese Secession style. The carving on this cabinet harks back to an era when carpentry was a craft rather than a process. This restored bedroom underscores the high ceiling of the house. This terrace contains rustic furnishing on which to enjoy one’s “merienda” or midday snack. One of the side rooms available for functions at Bahay Nakpil-Bautista
